The Recreational Services Department is currently located at 46 Valley Street, Asheville, NC 28801. Buncombe County has plans to vacate that facility and will need a new location for Recreation Services. The County is looking to construct a new facility located on currently owned County property at 58 Apac Drive, Asheville, NC 28806. This is the Buncombe County Sports Park. This new facility is currently planned to be 4,000 square feet and house Recreation Services Department staff as well as community space. Services provided by the firm or individual must include, but are not limited to: • Departmental programming to capture building use and validate the facility size. • Assisting the owner in determining the construction type. • Planning and design for necessary infrastructure to support the facility including water, sewer, and electrical services. • Planning and design for the facility as related to architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and all necessary components. • Providing schematic design, design development, and construction documents for the project. • Providing cost estimates at schematic design and design development. • Bid administration for the project. • Assisting the owner and/or contractor in obtaining all necessary review and permits to complete the project as required by the Authority Having Jurisdiction • Construction administration including answering requests for information, reviewing submittals, reviewing payment applications, and making necessary site visits. • Compiling closeout documents and providing them to the owner at the project completion. • Attendance at progress meeting that occur no more frequently than monthly.
