The Malvern Hills Park pool and bathhouse were built in 1936. In 2106, the City of Asheville commissioned a professional assessment of the 90 year-old pool to assess the physical condion of the pool, pool structure, building, building systems, site and building accessibility. This study can be found at the link at the end of this document. This assessment also included two opons of code compliant building plans. The pool poron of this audit concluded the pool “has seen its life use” and recommended “not to put more money in the current pool.” Repairs to the buildings and pool sufficed unl 2023, when the repairs and code updates were too great to connue operaons. The scope intended to be included in this project will include the bulleted items below: ● New mulpurpose pool including decking, pump and drainage systems ● Renovated pump building ● Renovated restroom building (restrooms, offices and changing areas). ● Accessible parking and access to the amenies ● New plumbing for the pool, restroom building and then to the meter ● New electric for pool, restroom building and pump building ● New pool fence ● New pool deck
