Specifications include, but are not limited to: The System seeks a convenience contract for budgeting and planning software tool that can be leveraged by all of its constituent institutions and organizations. Approximately half of the 16 universities have recently and separately started implementing their own solutions. 14 of the universities use Ellucian Banner for their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. The remaining two, UNC Chapel Hill and NC State University, use PeopleSoft. UNC Chapel Hill has recently issued a RFP and awarded its own contract for a budgeting and planning tool, and NC State University’s near-term plans are to develop budgeting and planning tools in-house, so the universities using Ellucian Banner would be the main users of a Systemwide contract. The System’s objective is to select a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution that will allow any of its institutions to efficiently and holistically manage their budgeting and planning processes. The use of the solution will not be mandatory. The solution should be versatile and easy to use, should ideally integrate with Ellucian Banner, and should provide reporting via spreadsheets and dashboards.
