Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Shelf-Ready Delivery: The books must be delivered in a shelf-ready condition, complete with barcodes. 2. School-Specific Barcodes: Each school will have unique barcode numbers. Schools will provide the designated barcode ranges. 3. Cataloging and Marc Records: The supplier must include spine labels (cataloging specifications will be provided with the order) and complete MARC records for each book. 4. Identification of Federal Funds: Books must be clearly identified in the MARC record and marked with a sticker or stamp indicating that the purchase was funded by federal resources. 5. Binding Quality: Books should be of library-bound quality or the best available hardcover copies. 6. Bulk Quotation: We require a bulk quotation for the entire order. 7. Delivery Schedule: The expected delivery is by June, 2024. 8. Customizable Book Lists: Book lists must be customizable by grade level, and the supplier will provide list curation support. The district retains the ability to make changes to the lists as needed. a. Text Sets should have, when possible, multiple titles for student choice. b. Text sets should include a mix of informational and fictional texts c. Each reading collection should be flexible enough to provide instructional support for whole-class read-aloud sessions, small-group instruction, and independent reading. d. Thematic texts should support content-area concepts and develop literacy skills. e. Grade K-3 should include leveled readers for all students to be able to access independent reading i.
