Specifications include, but are not limited to: In FY2010, the State of North Carolina was granted funds for the development of a Character and Ethics Training Program formembers of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol to be implemented beginning in March 2011. The grant provided is an ARRA(American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) grant. Courses or modules that are specific to the Highway Patrol. Program will review current ethical issues and how to make quality decisions in critical situations. Conduct needs assessment survey of current culture. Development of value based ethics with a commitment to integrity, loyalty and professionalism. Program delivered by content specialist. Instructor and student lesson plans designed to allow the using agency (NCSHP) to revise and update as needed duringthe course of instruction. Flexible administration design to increase the accessibility of the program to all appropriate employees; 4 hours to 1 dayseminars
