The racking system should be sufficient to safely house our existing and future stock of sewer and water pipes per the specifications below : • Max pipe – 38” in diameter. 220.5” in length. These will be on the bottom of the rack only. • Standard is 20’ long – pvc, cast iron, steel • 6’ smallest length • 6, 10, 12’ most common – 333, 544 and 711lbs, respectively • Current weight of pipe inventory – approximately 80,000 lbs. Racking specifications should adhere to the following guidelines: • Number of racks – 6 sets of double-sided cantilever uprights • Individual rack height – 196” • Individual rack width – 18’ 5” • Number of levels/rack – 5 (6 incl. ground) with 28” inch clearance between each • Arm specifications– 48” length, 4-degree tilt, 6” lip on ends
