The City of Wilmington is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide replacements of traditional Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) lines used for both Fire and Burglary Alarm Systems and Elevator Communications. This project aims to enhance the reliability, security, and efficiency of critical communication systems by transitioning to a next-generation solution. Citywide Fire & Burglary Alarm Monitoring, Inspections, Service, and Repairs at designated sites currently owned or possessed by the City of Wilmington. We require a comprehensive service to create a safe and professional environment for our tenants, employees, and visitors. The city intends to seek proposals to provide services at a fixed monthly rate for the next three (3) years, with the option to renew for two (2) additional years in twelve (12) month increments. The work will include the provision of a total maintenance/management program, including, but not limited to, the inspection, quarterly preventative maintenance, repairs, service calls, and other tasks and services necessary to ensure safe, well-maintained Fire and Burglary alarm systems providing high-quality services for City employees and the public. Qualified Vendors must have the ability and sufficient resources to provide repairs and servicing of all fire and Burglary alarm systems, equipment preventive maintenance, respond to emergencies, finish repairs on time, troubleshoot, repair, and replace fire alarm systems, and provide engineering and related services when needed.
