Catawba County (hereinafter “County”) is requesting bids from qualified Contractor(s) to install approximately 7,000 feet of 6-foot chain link fence with three (3) strands of barb wire and two (2) 24-foot double gates. Landfill Staff removed approximately 2,000 feet of old fencing, posts, and a 24-foot double gate that can be re-installed. Approximately 5,000 feet of new fence and a 24-foot double gate will need to be purchased and installed. The site location is Blackburn Landfill, located at 3993 Rocky Ford Road, Newton, North Carolina 28658. The property line has been marked along with fence location. The new chain link fence will be a 6-foot design, a top tension wire and three (3) strands of barb wire at the top.
