SCOPE OF WORK: This contract is for a cut and shove crew to remove storm related tree debris from the State maintained roadways in Stanly County on an “as needed” basis. The Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials for the project in accordance with the Standard Specifications and/or Special Provisions herein. CUT AND SHOVE CREW: Description The Contractor shall provide a crew to perform cut and shove work for emergency tree clearing from state maintained roadways in accordance with these specifications and as directed by the Engineer. The Engineer will identify the location where the Contractor will provide the crew to work. The Engineer or his duly authorized representative will monitor the Contractor’s operations. The Contractor shall comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations governing safety, health, and sanitation. The Contractor shall take any other needed actions that are reasonably necessary to protect the life and health of employees on the job and the safety of the public, and to protect property in connection with the performance of the work covered by the contract.
