Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful vendor must be able to have one (1) armed guard in place in each of the fifteen (15) facilities beginning on March 1, 2020. Awarded Vendor must have personnel and resources available to provide substitute officers when there is an officer out due to sickness or vacation. The armed security officer will be expected to work during normal business hours listed below in Section 5.2. Coverage will not be needed on State Holidays (see attachment B). The security officer will be expected to stand (will be allowed to sit in some instances, and will be given a morning break, lunch break, and afternoon break) in the reception area of the building where the waiting area is located. Officer will patrol the waiting area, entrance to the building and parking lot, and occasionally walk through the work area of the office to ensure that all personnel are safe and secure. Officer will monitor the Computer Resource Area for unauthorized use or illegal activity. Officer must be uniformed and carry a non-concealed handgun. Awarded vendor and the staff assigned must be properly registered and licensed with the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board.
