The Scope of Services includes activities for preparing a Site Plan for the park through public engagement with stakeholders and obtaining an Exempt Site Plan approval through the Town’s Technical Review Committee as well as construction design and construction administration services. The following is a breakdown of the services requested by the Town of Apex. We welcome additions and modifications to this format if the proposing firm feels new concepts, greater detail or clarification would be helpful. However, please address the minimum information noted. • Renovations will include replacement of all existing playground equipment with accessible equipment for fully inclusive play. • Existing surfacing will also be replaced with new poured-in-place, synthetic turf, or other acceptable surfacing to improve accessibility, increase longevity, and reduce replacement time and costs. • New ADA-compliant ramps and walkways to improve access to the playground from the parking lots and existing shelter. • Developing plan with the intent to maximize funding opportunities or partnerships such the National Demonstration Site, PARTF, or other. • Opportunities for and the inclusion of shade components into the design for a minimum of 50% of the area, where existing tree canopy does not provide protection.
