Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Training and coaching should include, but not be limited to: o Supporting teams in examining their own assumptions and beliefs about problem behavior in working with students with Autism. o Examining the many factors that influence problem behavior in students. o Implementation of evidenced based strategies and interventions across all tiers. ● Training ○ In collaboration with Wake County Behavior Specialists, develop and implement training for Elementary Behavior Support Program teachers and Secondary Level teachers who serve in the role of Autism or Behavior Support. Training to be done no more than three times over the course of the school year. ○ In collaboration with Wake County Extended Content Specialists, develop and implement training for our Extended Content teachers and instructional assistants focusing on the complex needs of our students in our regional programs. ● Coaching and Support ○ In collaboration with Wake County Behavior Specialists, provide coaching support and feedback sessions on a quarterly basis. Priority will be for the Elementary Behavior Support teachers and Autism/Behavior Support teachers and others deemed in need of coaching support. ○ In collaboration with Wake County Extended Content Coordinating Teachers, provide coaching support and feedback sessions on a quarterly basis. Priority will be for the Extended Content Teachers who are Alternative Licensure and in Beginning Teacher status and others deemed in need of coaching support.
