The vendor will provide professional learning and resources to enhance the existing WCPSS Sheltered Instruction model. ○ Vendor shall provide: ■ A Pre-Service Option - Educators can get an introduction of SIOP® training through Developing Academic Language Professional Learning to build interest in the SIOP® framework. ■ SIOP® Capacity Builder to train instructional facilitators at the central service level. ■ Support the central office trainers who are responsible for completing cohorts of training with selected schools. ■ SIOP® Teachers certification licenses for teachers completing the one-year cohort training. ■ Authorized use of the SIOP® trademark ■ Endorsement by SIOP® authors ■ Access to online resources such as lesson plans, writing content and language objectives, model videos ○ The vendor should also provide: ■ Strategies for professional development. ■ Opt-in to receive graduate level college credits for participants ■ Differentiated classroom activities. ■ Use of data to personalize instructional strategies for ELs. ■ Research-based activities. ■ Continuous support, training, and best practices. ■ Offer research-based PD & strategies. ■ Most recent research papers, articles, videos in the field.
