Contractor is responsible to verify all measurements. Parking lot area to be resurfaced is approximately 32,531 sq. ft. Mill off existing asphalt to a depth of 2.00 with milling machine and dispose of debris offsite. Provide a smooth transition with the adjoining asphalt drives and concrete pads. Base: a. Add additional aggregate to fill in any voids in the base. b. Grade base course evenly and compact to 100% c. Maintain a uniform surface on the base course until placement of asphalt surface is complete. Asphalt Surfacing: a. Install two (2) inches of asphalt. Schedule: a. The facility will be shut down during the work so it is accentual that the project be completed in a timely manner. b. Work shall be completed within a week of starting and no later then December 31, 2025. A timeline shall be set and coordinated between County staff and the contractor. c. Liquidated damages shall apply if the work is not fully completed within the agreed upon time. Permits: All permits necessary for the prosecution of the work shall be secured by the Contractor. The Contractor shall give all notices and comply with all laws, ordinances and regulations bearing on the conduct of the work. Material and Supplies: Unless specifically provided otherwise in each case, all material and supplies shall be furnished by the Contractor for permanent installation. The work shall conform to applicable standard specifications. No such material or supplies shall be used by the Contractor for any purpose other than that intended or specified, unless such use is specifically authorized by the County in each use.
