1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS a) Work shall be performed in accordance with all applicable State and local codes and regulations governing this project. b) The contractor must possess a valid license from the NC Well Contractor Certification Commission. c) Entrance to this site is restricted; work schedules must be coordinated with ONWASA to ensure access. d) Contractor shall conduct operations in such a manner as to avoid damage to well site facilities (controls, building security gate and fencing, etc.). Any such damage shall be repaired by the contractor at no additional cost to ONWASA. e) The Contractor will have ninety (90) consecutive calendar days from the date when the Notice to Proceed is awarded to complete this project. 2. INSTALL MOTOR, NEW PUMP ASSEMBLY AND APPURTENANCES a) Furnish and install a replacement pump assembly, American-Marsh LLC, or approved equivalent to the existing pump assembly (American-Marsh Vertical Turbine Pump, Model 14 LS-5 capable of yielding 1000 GPM @ 238 TDH). b) Re-install the existing 75 HP, 1190 RPM, 460-volt, 3 phase, 60 HZ motor. c) Provide and install new rubber shaft inserts. d) Provide and install a new stainless-steel shaft. e) Provide and install new shaft supports. f) Provide and install new bearings. g) Provide and install new column pipe. (Provide quote and lead times for epoxy-coated and non-epoxy coated column pipe. ONWASA will decide which column pipe will be used based on quotes.) h) Re-install the discharge head that allows for (3) three water-level access ports. Access ports to be used to install items 3a), 3b), & 3c). The existing casing vent shall not be modified. i) Contractor shall submit manufacturer spec sheets for all materials for approval by ONWASA before ordering. j) The contractor shall coordinate with ONWASA to run-test equipment to ensure proper operation before the final acceptance of the work.
