Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville, North Carolina (“COJ”) is accepting proposals for Uniform Rental Service/Purchase until 1:00 PM on Monday, July 26, 2004, in our offices located at City Hall, Meeting Room “A”, 211 Johnson Boulevard, Jacksonville, North Carolina 28540. All proposals received by the COJ after this date and time will not be considered. The COJ seeks to select a method that is most economical and advantageous to the City; therefore, this proposal asks for pricing based on both uniform rental and purchase. Alternate No. 1 designates Uniform Rental, Alternate No. 2 designates Uniform Purchase, Alternate No. 3 designates an Option To Substitue Rental of Regular Jacket, Alternate No. 4 is Miscellaneous Uniform Purchase. The resulting uniform rental service and/or purchase contract, will be based on the evaluation of Alternate No. 1, Alternate No. 2, Alternate No. 3 and Alternate No. 4. A pre-proposal conference will be held on Monday, July 12, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. in Meeting Room “A”, City of Jacksonville City Hall, 211 Johnson Blvd., City of Jacksonville, NC 28540. Detailed specifications will be distributed at the pre-proposal conference or may be obtained prior to the pre-proposal conference by contacting Carlotta Cloyd at (910) 938-5256 or by e-mail at ccloyd@ci.jacksonville.nc.us. The COJ invites and encourages participation in this procurement process by minority-owned businesses, women-owned businesses and businesses owned by disabled persons. No proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of sixty (60) days. All qualified proposals will be evaluated and acceptance made of the proposal judged by the COJ to constitute the best value offered for the purpose intended. Evaluation will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the bidder's qualifications, experience, past performance, financial standing and proposal price. The COJ reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals presented, and the right to waive any informalities or irregularities.
