SANITARY SEWER COLLECTION SYSTEM REHABILITATION BID NO. FY 06-10
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids from pre-qualified Bidders for the construction of the Sanitary Sewer Collection System Rehabilitation will be received, by the City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville, at the New Bridge Conference Room, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540, until 2:00 p.m. Local Time on Thursday, July 20, 2006, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Bids received from firms not pre-qualified will be returned unopened.
The 486 day project is inclusive of , but is not limited to, cleaning and CCTV inspection of 43,650 LF sanitary sewers (various sizes); installing 21,550 LF cured-in-place pipe liners (various sizes); reinstatement of service laterals; installing 55 cured-in-place point repairs (various sizes); installing 709 cured-in-place lateral liners, installing 7 excavated point repairs; 5 manhole replacements;5 manhole rehabilitations; and chemical sealing of 65 service laterals in accordance with the Contract Documents.
In order to be pre-qualified for bid on this Project, Bidders shall submit the Bidder Qualifications Statement described in the Instructions to Bidders and Supplementary Conditions. Completed Bidder Qualifications Statements shall be received by Todd Williams, Malcolm Pirnie, Inc., 701 Town Center Drive, Suite 600, Newport News, VA 23606 until 4:00 p.m. Local Time on Thursday, June 27, 2006.
Bids from pre-qualified Bidders will be received on single prime contract basis. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis.
Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of the Owner, Engineering Division of Public Services, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Copies may be obtained from the offices of the Owner upon deposit of $100.00 for each set. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available. Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including any addenda, obtained from other sources. Checks for documents shall be made payable to the City of Jacksonville. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
Bid and Contract securities shall be provided in accordance with Articles 10 and 23 of the Instructions to Bidders.
The City of Jacksonville will conduct a Pre-Bid meeting in the Johnson Boulevard Conference Room at City Hall, on Thursday, June 20, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Local Time immediately followed by a site visit.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all Bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner’s best interest.
Bidders must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and under Municipal Code 11-9. A business privilege License is required to engage in business in the City of Jacksonville.
