Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville is soliciting Request for Proposals for Trash and Debris Pickup for the areas listed herein. The work shall include furnishing all safety equipment, materials, tools, labor, transportation, and supervision necessary for the prosecution and completion of the work. It is the bidder’s responsibility to dispose of the trash and debris collected in a responsible and appropriate manner. All proposals should be in a sealed envelope marked as “Request for Proposals – Trash and Debris Pickup”. Proposals are to be returned to the Facilities Manager by 5:00 PM on October 10, 2008 at the Public Services Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Bidder shall pick-up all trash and debris on both sides of the road, beginning at road edge to the top of the ditches, and including the median areas. Items such as hazard materials or dead animals should be reported to the Facilities Manager for disposal. The bi-monthly pickup service entails pickup once between the first of the month and the 15th of each month as well as one pickup between the 15th of the month and the last day of the month. Bidder shall notify the Facilities Manager two days prior to the collection of debris. The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
