Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville Community Development Division mission is to assist low to moderate income families. As an alternate to constructing a house from a given set of plans and specifications, Community Development is seeking proposals to construct a single family house at 164 Sybil St. Jacksonville, NC that meets the minimum requirements set forth below. This Proposal describes the terms and conditions for such construction as well as establishing the total cost of this project not to exceed $63,000 to include the full turn-key purchase and installation/construction of the house, necessary utilities and contingency of 10%. If the total cost of the proposal exceeds this maximum price, it will not be considered.
The specifications listed shall be at a minimum “builder’s grade”. Proposals shall be graded on the total cost of the project to include any additional features such as upgraded cabinets, counter tops, appliances, light fixtures, window treatments, wood moldings, doors, carpets, etc. Other factors include the length of the project, financial capability to perform such project, and proof of all applicable licensing.
Interested bidders shall provide a proposal with detailed specifications, materials, floor plan, building elevation drawings and budget.
All proposals should be in a marked as “Request for Proposals – Prefabricated/Modular/Site Built Home 164 Sybil St.” Proposals are to be returned to the attention of Mr. Jeffrey Walters, Community Development Division by 4:00 PM on March 22, 2010 at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
