Summary of Specifications:
Sealed Bids from qualified Bidders for the construction of the Holiday City Sewer Relocation will be received, by the City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville, at Meeting Room A, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540, until 11:30 AM Eastern Standard Time on August 3, 2010, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
The project consists construction of 1615 LF of 8-inch diameter PVC gravity sewer, 6 precast concrete manholes, 33 4-inch sewer services, 1 duplex positive displacement grinder pumping station, 593 LF of 1.5-inch PVC force main, 1515 LF of removal and replacement of a 42-feet wide asphalt private street and appurtenances.
Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of the Owner, Engineering Division of Public Services, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Copies may be obtained from the offices of the Owner, Engineering Division of Public Services, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540 for the non-refundable amount of $100.00 for each set. Payment for documents must be received by the Engineering Division and shall be made payable to the City of Jacksonville. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available. Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including any addenda, obtained from other sources. Checks for documents shall be made payable to the City of Jacksonville. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
The City of Jacksonville will conduct a Pre-Bid meeting at City Hall, Meeting Room A, on July 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM immediately followed by a site visit.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all Bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner’s best interest.
