Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville is requesting BIDS for Fire Station #3 Floor Resurfacing Project located in Jacksonville, North Carolina:
Description: The Fire Station #3 Floor Resurfacing Project consists of the removal of approximately 5,200 square feet of existing floor coating, preparation of the concrete slab and the installation of approximately 5,200 square feet of new slip resistant epoxy or similar coating. Fire Station #3 is located at 109 Huff Drive in Jacksonville, NC. The existing floor coating is to be removed down to the concrete slab. This will be accomplished by grinding or shot blasting of the surface. All expansion joints and damage to the slab will be filled or caulked. A new epoxy or similar coating will be applied to the prepared concrete slab per manufacturer’s instructions. The work includes all equipment, labor, materials, and services required for the Fire Station #3 Floor Resurfacing Project as described in the project specification.
All bids are to be returned to Jim Higgins by 5:00 PM on March 27, 2009 at the Engineering Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
BID BOND: Each Bidder must deposit a five (5%) percent Bid Security with his/her Bid.
