2023 STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT PHASE 1

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids from qualified Bidders for the construction of the FY22 STREET
REHABILITATION PHASE I will be received, by the City Clerk of the City of
Jacksonville, at Meeting Room A&B, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street,
Jacksonville, NC 28540, until 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, June
13, 2023, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
The work to be performed for this project encompasses rehabilitation of
several streets in various areas of the City of Jacksonville and includes
milling; paving; remove and replace curbing, valley gutters; adjusting
manholes, utility and water covers; pavement striping and markings;
traffic loops; construct and rehabilitate concrete curb ramps and related
sidewalk sections.
Bids will be received on Single Prime contract basis. Bids shall be on a lump sum
and/or unit price basis.
Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of the Owner, Engineering
Division of Public Services, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC
28540. Copies may be obtained from the offices of the Owner, Engineering
Division of Public Services, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC
28540. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available. Neither the Owner
nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents,
including any addenda, obtained from other sources. Persons requesting shipment
of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
Bid and Contract securities shall be provided in accordance with Articles 10 and 23
of the Instructions to Bidders.
Bid is subject to all requirements of the NC Office of State Budget and
Management, Contract #10181, attached hereto for reference.
NO WEAPONS: There shall be no weapons or guns allowed on City property or
private property you are contracted to work at or on.
The City of Jacksonville will conduct a Pre-Bid meeting at City Hall, Meeting
Room A & B, on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 10:00 AM (EST) immediately
followed by a site visit.
Bidders shall provide proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in
Article 5 of the Instructions to Bidders.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject
or all Bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner’s
best interest.
Bidders must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General
Statutes.
