Box 128 815 New Bridge Street Jacksonville, North Carolina 28541 Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of the RAILS TO TRAILS PROJECT in JACKSONVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA - BID NO. FY 06-09 consisting of the following work: Construction of 10' wide asphalt greenway trail along an abandoned railroad right-of-way located within the City of Jacksonville from the intersection of US 17 and Onslow Drive, continuing along US 17 to a greenway corridor between Bell Fork Road and Onslow Drive, continuing along Bell Fork Road Corridor to NC 24, then along NC 24 to the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune Main Gate at Holcomb Boulevard. The project also consists of a 446’ Prefabricated Bridge Superstructure, road modifications at Hargett Street, pedestrian signal heads, thermoplastic pavement markings, and modifications to the existing bridge structure over the North East Creek for pedestrian use. The project includes grading, paving, erosion control, bridge structure erection and modifications and pavement markings. The project will be constructed in accordance with the approved plans, specifications, and regulatory permits. will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville in the New Bridge Street Conference Room at City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, North Carolina 28540 until 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2006 and then at said office, publicly opened and read aloud.
