Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville, NC (City) is a municipality of the State of North Carolina with responsibility for the administration and operation of public transportation services within the City limits and portions of Onslow County, North Carolina, including Camp Lejeune and New River Air Station. North Carolina statute and various Federal laws and regulations administered by the Federal Transit Administration govern The City’s purchasing procedures.
The City is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to select a Contractor to operate the City’s public transportation service, Jacksonville Transit.
The designated City representative and Contracting Officer for questions relating to this Request for Proposals is Jeff Crouchley, Transit Operations Manager. Proposers must deliver all communications in connection with this RFP by email to the Contracting Officer, without copying any other City officer, employee, representative, agent, or consultant.
The City will hold a Pre-Proposal Conference at City Hall, located at 815 New Bridge Street Jacksonville, NC 28451 at 1:30 PM on January 25, 2011.
All prospective Proposers shall submit any request for addenda, amendments to, or clarification or modification of this RFP by email to the City’s Contracting Officer by 4:00 PM, February 8, 2011.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
Contract Documents may be examined and/or obtained at City of Jacksonville, Jacksonville Transit Division, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
