Summary of Specifications:
I. Introduction The Fleet Maintenance Center for the City of Jacksonville is requesting quotes (RFQ) for the interior and exterior cleaning on five (5) 22-passenger buses with guaranteed pricing starting March 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009 with the possibility of an option to renew three times at one-year intervals each.
II. Scope of Work The five (5) 22-passenger buses are housed at the Fleet Maintenance Center located at 350C South Marine Boulevard (behind Autozone on Hwy 17 South). The Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM through 4:00 PM.
The City of Jacksonville wishes to hire a contractor to perform bi-weekly cleaning on the City’s five (5) 22-passenger buses between Monday through Thursday. If rain should occur, the contractor will make an effort to see if the buses are in need of a Quick exterior cleaning. Additionally, the contractor might be notified in the event the bus is in need of either an interior or exterior cleaning more often than bi-weekly. The first bus of each day must leave the garage by 9:15 AM daily. • Interior cleaning involves cleaning the all interior windows, clean all seats and sweep and mop floor. • Exterior cleaning involves washing the body of the bus, cleaning all exterior windows and the cleaning and Armor All® of the tires. • Quick exterior cleaning involves a wash only of the body of the bus.
It is recommended that the Contractor make an effort to visit the Fleet Maintenance Center before submitting a quote for service.
