Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville is requesting BIDS for the Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) FY15-16 Point Repairs and Manhole Rehabilitation Project located in Jacksonville, North Carolina:
Description: The Work to be performed under the Contract includes point repair installations for eight (8”) and eighteen (18”) inch sewer lines, and rehabilitation of some sewer manholes and the associated work necessary for the point repairs and manhole rehabilitation. It also includes the installation of a dog-house manhole and a complete section of sewer line replacement at Foscue Drive. All bids are to be returned to Andrew Kassell, Project Manager by 4:00 p.m. on January 28, 2016, at the Engineering Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. All bids will be opened by the Engineering Department. This is not a public bid opening.
The City of Jacksonville will conduct a Pre-Bid Meeting at City Hall on January 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Meeting Room A&B, immediately followed by site visits.
The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at the office of Andrew Kassell, Project Manager, at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
