I. Quotes Due
All quotes are due by 12:00 p.m. on May 5, 2016 for the equipment to use in conjunction with a XFP 150J-CH2 PE350/4 Sulzer Pump noted on this Request for Quotes. Interested bidders must sign this Request for Quotes and either email it to Barrysha Wilson at bwilson@jacksonvillenc.gov or deliver it to the Public Services Department, Utilities Maintenance Division, at 350 S. Marine Blvd., Jacksonville, NC 28540.
II. Qualifications
The successful bidder must be properly licensed to do business in the City of Jacksonville. The City is exempt from Federal Excise Tax. Our Federal Tax Identification Number is 56-6000232. The City is not exempt from NC State & County Sales Tax. Such taxes shall be shown as a separate item on all invoices.
Iran Divestment Act Certification:
Contractor certifies that, as of the acceptance date of this bid or contract, it is not on the “Final Divestment List” (FDL) or the “Iran Parent and Subsidiary Guidance” (P&S) created by the State Treasurer pursuant to N.C.G.S. § 147-86.58. In compliance with the requirements of the Iran Divestment Act and N.C.G.S. §147-86.59, Contractor shall not utilize in the performance of the contract any subcontractor that is identified on the FDL or the P&S. These lists can be found at: https://www.nctreasurer.com/inside-the-department/OpenGovernment/Pages/Iran-Divestment-Act-Resources.aspx. If at any time Contractor is added to the FDL or the P&S, while under contract with the City of Jacksonville, the City shall have the option to terminate the contract immediately.
III. Rights
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all quotes, and to accept that quote or quotes which appear to be in the Owner’s best interest.
IV. Inspection
All materials/supplies shall be the subject of inspection by the Stormwater Manager at time of delivery.
V. Quotes to Be Retained
Quotes are to remain valid for a period not to exceed 30 days.
