Summary of Specifications:
Separate sealed BIDS for the ELLIS PUMPING STATION RENOVATIONS in JACKSONVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA, BID NO. CS-7120-05-0108 consisting of: Description: This project location is the Ellis Pumping Station and includes but is not limited to the removal of Federal Pacific Service Equipment and Motor Control Center (MCC), interior lighting fixtures, existing Backup Generator/Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), communitor, and deteriorated steel beam over existing communitor. The 480/277 Volt backup generator/automatic transfer switch, MCC, lighting/receptacle power panel and interior light fixtures will be replaced as part of this project. Also, the existing communitor will be replaced with a grinding/chewing unit that includes new controls. The contractor will be responsible for keeping the existing equipment powered up for the duration of the project. The pump station will not be allowed to be without power for more than 4 hours. ************ Bids will be received by Tim Webb, City of Jacksonville, City Hall, 211 Johnson Boulevard, Jacksonville, North Carolina 28541 until 2:00 p.m. on January 20, 2005. The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at the office of Cribb Consulting Engineers, P.C., 3809 Peachtree Ave. Wilmington, NC 28409. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment. Each Bidder must deposit a five (5%) percent Bid Security with his/her Bid as provided for in the Instructions to Bidders. The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, to award the bid by item or in total, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest. BIDDERS must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and under Municipal Code 11-9. A Business Privilege License is required to engage in business in the City of Jacksonville.
