Summary of Specifications:
Sealed Bids from qualified Bidders for the construction of the Existing East/West Lagoon Liner Extension will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville in the New Bridge Street Conference Room, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540, until 2:00 p.m. Local Time on Thursday, December 13, 2007, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
The project consists of the installation of 315,000 sf of geosynthetic liner for extension of the existing geosynthetic liner to the top of the existing perimeter berm at the East/West Effluent Storage Lagoon. In addition, 76,000 sf of gravel roadway will be constructed on the top of the existing berm.
Bids will be received on single prime basis. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis.
Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of the Owner, Engineering Division of Public Services Department, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Copies may be obtained from the offices of the Owner upon deposit of $100.00 for each set. Call (910) 938-5249 for more information. Checks for documents shall be made payable to the City of Jacksonville. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available. Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including any addenda, obtained from other sources.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all Bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner’s best interest.
