Summary of Specifications:
The project is to demolish and remove the eight (8) buildings and associated infrastructure collectively described as the former Onslow Inn property. The work will include removing the buildings, grading, erosion control, grassing, and mulching the cleared property upon completion of the demolition. Work will be done in accordance with an approved state sedimentation and soil erosion plan and a state-approved stormwater management plan. All bids are to be returned to Carmen Miracle, City Clerk, 211 Johnson Blvd., Jacksonville, NC by 5:00 PM on May 27, 2005. The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at the office of the Public Services Department, City of Jacksonville, 211 Johnson Blvd., Jacksonville, NC 28540. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment. A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Onslow Inn site at 10:00 AM on May 20, 2005. The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest. POC: Michael B.
