Summary of Specifications:
GENERAL The purpose of these specifications is to describe an IHI, 35N Compacted (Mini) Excavator. The excavator shall be a minimum 26hp, water cooled diesel engine, variable displacement piston pumps, 2 speed travel with hydraulic pilot controls. It shall have auxiliary hydraulics, with A-F quick change valve. This quick change operating pattern selector allows instant changing from backhoe-style to excavator-style controls with the flip of a switch. The Compacted Excavator shall have rubber tracks, backfill blade and minimum 10’ digging depth with a travel pressure boost system. The pressure is increased automatically during traveling, and the operator is assured of sufficient traveling power and fast traveling speeds during backfilling.
Bidders offering to supply other than the described make and model must supply a detailed description of the equipment being offered. For purposes of comparison a separate list of all deviations to this specification must be attached to your bid document. All bidders offering other than the approved model listed will be required to provide an on-site demonstration to verify that their unit complies with all specification requirements before their bid will be considered.
