Separate sealed BIDS for the Barrus Pump Station Rehabilitation and Force Main Replacement in JACKSONVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA, BID NO. FY 06-03 consisting of:
Description: The work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the construction of approximately 6,040 linear feet of 10-inch sewer forcemain including all pipe, fittings, gate valves, air release valves, tapping sleeve and valves; approximately 228 linear feet of 8-inch forcemain and associated appurtenances; approximately 253 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sanitary sewer; temporary bypass pumping and all other related work required to complete the Work to replace existing sewer infrastructure.
Bids will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville in Meeting Room A, City Hall, 211 Johnson Boulevard, Jacksonville, North Carolina 28540 until 11 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2005 and then at said office, publicly opened and read aloud.
The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at the office of the Engineering Division of Public Services, City Hall, 211 Johnson Blvd. (PO Box 128), Jacksonville, NC 28540. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
Each bidder must deposit a five (5%) percent Bid Deposit with his/her Bid as provided for in the Instructions to Bidders.
The City of Jacksonville will conduct a Pre-Bid meeting in Meeting Room B at City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street (formerly 211 Johnson Blvd.), Jacksonville, North Carolina on November 1, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. immediately followed by a site visit.
Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
BIDDERS must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and under Municipal Code 11-9. A Business Privilege License is required to engage in business in the City of Jacksonville.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish 100% Contract Security as provided for in the Instructions to Bidders. Such security shall be in the form of a payment and a performance bond.
