Summary of Specifications:
FIXED ROUTE AUTOMATED VEHICLE LOCATION AND REAL TIME PASSENGER INFORMATION SYSTEMS
I. Quotes Due All quotes are due on August 15, 2014, by 4:00 PM. Interested bidders must sign this Request for Quotes and either fax it to (910) 938-5031 or deliver to Roy Bredahl at Jacksonville Transit at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28541.
II. Qualifications The City is exempt from Federal Excise Tax. Our Federal Tax Identification Number is 56-6000232. The City is not exempt from NC State & County Sales Tax. Such taxes shall be shown as a separate item on all invoices.
III. Rights The City reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all quotes, and to accept that Quote or Quotes which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
IV. Specifications Jacksonville Transit requires an Automated Vehicle Location System and a Real Time Passenger Information System that includes a Web-based application that is available to passengers to acquire departure and arrival estimates at stops throughout the service area. These systems are to be designed for a Fixed Route system only, as there will be no Paratransit system integrated.
