Summary of Specifications:
Separate sealed BIDS for ANNUAL SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION (FY05) in JACKSONVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA, BID NO. FY consisting of the following: Work elements will consist of constructing approximately 12,000 linear feet of four-foot wide, four-inch thick concrete sidewalk, approximately 995 linear feet of four-foot wide, six-inch thick concrete sidewalk, approximately 1,440 linear feet of five-foot wide, four-inch thick concrete sidewalk, the installation of approximately 56 Handicap Ramps with truncated domes, 1 drainage chute, the removal of approximately 25 trees and the removal and replacement of approximately 30 bushes. The City of Jacksonville is requesting sealed bids for the installation of: 1. approximately 1,470 linear feet of five-foot wide, four-inch thick sidewalk, twenty-six (26) handicap (HC) ramps and one (1) drainage chute along Village Drive from Western Boulevard to Pine Valley Road, 2. approximately 2,700 linear feet of four-foot wide, four-inch thick sidewalk and eight (8) HC ramps along Cole Drive from Hargett Street to King Street, 3. approximately 1,260 linear feet of four-foot wide, four-inch thick sidewalk and two (2) HC ramps along King Street from Cole Drive to Kitt Drive; 4. approximately 440 linear feet of four-foot wide, four-inch thick sidewalk and two (2) HC ramps along Kitt Drive Between King Street and Carver Drive; 5. approximately 620 linear feet of four-foot wide, four-inch thick sidewalk along Carver Drive between Kitt Drive and Cole Drive, 6. approximately 2,880 linear feet of four-foot wide, four-inch thick sidewalk, and nine (9) HC ramps along Cardinal Road between Indian Drive and the existing sidewalk at Address 400; 7. approximately 2,080 linear feet of four-foot wide, four-inch thick sidewalk and five (5) HC ramps along Linwood Drive between Brookdale Plaza and Lakewood Drive, 8. approximately 2,800 linear feet of four-foot wide, four-inch thick sidewalk and five (5) HC ramps along New River Drive from Onslow Drive to York Street, and 9. approximately 190 linear feet of four-foot wide, four-inch thick sidewalk and one (1) HC ramps along College Street between the existing sidewalk at address 624 and West Bayshore Blvd. Bids will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville in Meeting Room A, City Hall, 211 Johnson Boulevard, Jacksonville, North Carolina 28541 until 3:00 p.m. on April 11, 2005 and then at said office, publicly opened and read aloud. The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at the office of Bill Sheppard, Engineering Technician, Public Services Department, 211 Johnson Blvd, Jacksonville, NC. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
