Summary of Specifications:
Install 12 foot wide driveway with turn -ends minimum 5 feet back. Drive ways shall be installed from garage to existing road. Connections to street shall be made in accordance with spec drawing titled " Residential Driveway Connection". Drive ways on grade shall be formed true and square and shall rest on a well tamped earth or gravel base. Pitch all concrete 1/8" per foot in the direction of drainage. All driveways shall be full 4" thick and concrete shall attain a stress of not less than 3000P.S.I.at 28 days. Concrete shall contain 6X6 #10 welded wire mesh. Concrete shall be screened smooth and floated so that 1/8" of "soup" comes to the top. All stones will be at lest 1/8" below tithe surface. All edges shall be finished with a concrete edger. Concrete incorrectly placed for drainage and not true and straight will be removed and replaced at Contractor's expense.
Install 4 foot wide walkway from driveway to end of bottom step on porch. All concrete shall be placed on a well tamped earth or gravel bed free from any organic material. Sides of walls shall be formed straight or curve in a true arc. Pitch all concrete 1/8" per foot in the direction of drainage. All walkways shall be full 4" thick and concrete shall attain a stress of not less than 3000P.S.I. at 28 days. Concrete shall be screened smooth and floated so that 1/8" of "soup" comes to the top. All stone will be at lest 1/8" below to the surface. All edges shall be finished with a concrete edger. Steel trowel concrete one time and lightly broom for a non- slip surface. Provide control joints every 5 feet. Concrete incorrectly placed for drainage and not true and straight will be removed and replaced at Contractor's expense. Finished surface shall be flush with grade or to match that of existing.
