The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Replacement of the existing bridge carrying Waverly Avenue over the Sheldrake River. The new bridge will have sidewalks on both sides carrying pedestrian traffic safely over the river. The new bridge will incorporate recommendations specified in a 2016 US Army Corps of Engineers flood risk management study. Specifically, the bridge will be replaced with a wider structure and deeper foundations that will complement the Army Corps of Engineer's plans to widen the channel to mitigate flooding.
