2026002 - Aerial Apparatus Inspection & Repair

Each year the Town of Amherst Highway Department needs an equipment inspection of all telescopic-articulating lifts.  This includes the inspection of the structural integrity, hydraulics and mechanical aspects of the aerial device, including complete greasing, lubrication and adjustment of fittings and cables.  During inspection, cylinders, lock valves, turrets, outriggers or torsion bars, basket leveling system and fiberglass components will be checked.  A dielectric test as well as an ANSI inspection certification sticker will be needed once all other components are passed.  A work report indicating the condition of the inspected vehicle will need to be provided once the inspection is complete.
