SUFFOLK COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY SUFFOLK COUNTY NEW YORK NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That sealed proposals for the painting of the 1,600,000-gallon Moriches-Riverhead Road Reservoir, Manorville, Town of Brookhaven, NY, will be received by the Purchasing Director of the Suffolk County Water Authority at 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, NY 11739, not later than 11:00 a.m., prevailing time, on September 30, 2016, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Complete details and specifications relating to the proposed work are on file and publicly exhibited at the Purchasing Department of the Authority, 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, NY 11739, where copies of said documents may be obtained upon application. You may also register your company on our website and request "More Info" on Contract No. 7384. A Suffolk County Water Authority Engineer shall meet with prospective Bidders at 10:00 a.m. on September 15, 2016 for a pre-bid meeting. The meeting will be at the Moriches-Riverhead Road Tank site, located in Suffolk Hills County Park. For the purposes of the pre-bid meeting, we will meet at the Moriches-Riverhead Road SCWA pump station (51 Moriches-Riverhead Road, Manorville, Town of Brookhaven) and then drive as a group to the tank site in Suffolk Hills County Park. It is strongly recommended that all prospective Bidders attend this meeting. Failure to comply with this requirement may be deemed sufficient cause for rejection of proposal. Apprenticeship Agreement: The Suffolk County Water Authority requires, pursuant to New York Labor Law Section 816-b, all Contractors and Subcontractors shall have, apprenticeship agreements appropriate for the type and scope of work to be performed under this Contract, that are registered with and approved by the New York State Commissioner of Labor pursuant to the requirements of New York Labor Law Article 23. Evidence of such agreements for both contractors and subcontractors, if any, must be submitted with the bid. Minority and Women Owned Businesses are encouraged to bid.
