NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That sealed proposals for the painting, minor maintenance and repairs of elevated tanks, standpipes, reservoirs and pressure vessels at various Authority-owned properties for the period September 1 , 2023 through August 31, 2024 (with option to extend), will be received by the Purchasing Director of the Suffolk County Water Authority at 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, NY 11739, not later than 11:00 a.m., prevailing time, on August 9, 2023 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. In addition, Bids will be accepted electronically, prospective bidders have the opportunity to submit their bids via the following website: www.BidNetDirect.com/new-york.
Invitation to Bid (ITB) documents are available for you to download by login in to the following websites www.scwa.com; or www.BidNetDirect.com/new-york. Questions and answers will also be posted on the public websites noted above.
The Engineer will meet with prospective Bidders at 10:00 a.m., August 1, 2023, for a pre-bid meeting. The meeting will be at the Albany Avenue Well Field, and Pump Station and Elevated Tank site, located on the northeast corner of Albany Avenue and 45th Street, North Amityville, Town of Babylon. It is strongly recommended that all prospective Bidders attend this meeting.
Details relating to the proposed work are also on file and publicly exhibited at the Office of the Purchasing Department, of the Suffolk County Water Authority, 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, New York 11739 where copies of said documents may be obtained upon application.
Apprenticeship Agreement: The Suffolk County Water Authority requires, pursuant to New York Labor Law Section 816-b, all Contractors and Subcontractors shall have, apprenticeship agreements appropriate for the type and scope of work to be performed under this Contract, that are registered with and approved by the New York State Commissioner of Labor pursuant to the requirements of New York Labor Law Article 23. Evidence of such agreements for both contractors and subcontractors, if any, must be submitted with the bid.
