NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That sealed proposals for Installation of New Private Water Service Lines & Service Taps in Designated Area of Manorville within the town of Brookhaven will be received by the purchasing department of said Authority at 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, New York 11739, not later than 11:00 a.m. on October 5, 2023, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. In addition, Bids will be accepted electronically, prospective bidders have the opportunity to submit their bids via the following website: www.BidNetDirect.com/new-york.
Invitation to Bid (ITB) documents are available for you to download by login in to the following websites www.scwa.com or www.BidNetDirect.com/new-york. Questions and answers will also be posted on the public websites noted above.
Details relating to the proposed work are also on file and publicly exhibited at the Office of the Purchasing Department, of the Suffolk County Water Authority, 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, New York 11739 where copies of said documents may be obtained upon application.
Failure by a firm or its representatives to attend the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will disqualify the firm’s bid from consideration for an award. The Authority may excuse a firm’s attendance at the pre-bid conference upon a showing of an extraordinary circumstance that prevented the firm or any of its representatives from attending the conference.
Apprenticeship Agreement: The Suffolk County Water Authority requires, pursuant to New York Labor Law Section 816-b, all Contractors and Subcontractors shall have, apprenticeship agreements appropriate for the type and scope of work to be performed under this Contract, that are registered with and approved by the New York State Commissioner of Labor pursuant to the requirements of New York Labor Law Article 23. Evidence of such agreements for both contractors and subcontractors, if any, must be submitted with the bid.
