NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That sealed proposals for Contract No. 7203 Project I - General Construction of Water Mains, and Appurtenances at Main Street and East Main Street (NY25A), Huntington and Project 2 – Roadway, Sidewalk and Concrete Curb Restoration on Main Street and East Main Street (NY25A) Huntington, will be received by the Purchasing Director, of said Authority at 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, NY 11739, not later than 11:00 A.M., Prevailing Time, on May 13, 2016, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Details relating to the proposed work are also on file and publicly exhibited at the Office of the Purchasing Department, of the Suffolk County Water Authority, 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, New York 11739 where copies of said documents may be obtained upon application. Whereas the Suffolk County Water authority has submitted an application for Storm Mitigation Loan Program funding, the attached specifications titled NY State Revolving Fund Program Requirements Bid Packet pertaining to required Davis-Bacon Act and MBE/WBE requirements, are hereby made a part of this contract. Bidders must comply with all of the terms as described in Contract 7203. Bidders are required to submit the documentation required as per the Davis-Bacon Act and MBE/WBE; failure to submit the documentation will result in rejection of your bid Apprenticeship Agreement: The Suffolk County Water Authority requires, pursuant to New York Labor Law Section 816-b, all Contractors and Subcontractors shall have, apprenticeship agreements appropriate for the type and scope of work to be performed under this Contract, that are registered with and approved by the New York State Commissioner of Labor pursuant to the requirements of New York Labor Law Article 23. Evidence of such agreements for both contractors and subcontractors, if any, must be submitted with the bid. The Authority has scheduled a Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting for April 26, 2016 at 10:00AM to discuss the specifications / requirements of the contract and to address questions relating to the subject project. Prospective Bidders intending to submit a bid shall report on April 26, 2016 to the following location: SCWA Purchasing Department, 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, New York 11739. Failure to attend the Pre-Bid Meeting is sufficient cause for rejection of your bid.
