SUFFOLK COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY SUFFOLK COUNTY NEW YORK NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That sealed proposals for construction of asphalt driveways, paved yard areas and walkways in the Western Zone of the Suffolk County Water Authority, Suffolk County, NY, for the period March 1, 2016 through February 28, 2017 (with option to extend) will be received by the Purchasing Director of the Suffolk County Water Authority at 4040 Sunrise Highway, Oakdale, New York 11769, not later than 11:00 a.m., prevailing time, on January 28, 2016, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Complete details and specifications relating to the proposed work are on file and publicly exhibited at the Purchasing Department of the Authority, 4040 Sunrise Highway, Oakdale, New York 11769, where copies of said documents may be obtained upon application. This Contract is being bid for the Western Zone, only. Contract holders of Contract No. 7159 (Eastern Zone) are not eligible to bid this Contract. Apprenticeship Agreement: The Suffolk County Water Authority requires, pursuant to New York Labor Law Section 816-b, all Contractors and Subcontractors shall have, apprenticeship agreements appropriate for the type and scope of work to be performed under this Contract, that are registered with and approved by the New York State Commissioner of Labor pursuant to the requirements of New York Labor Law Article 23. Evidence of such agreements for both contractors and subcontractors, if any, must be submitted with the bid. Minority and Women Owned Businesses are encouraged to bid.
