In addition to the below functional upgrades and reconfiguration, the aesthetic, lighting and controls, temperature and air quality are all important factors for the success of the renovation and reformed birthing experience for families. PROJECT SCOPE ● Create a new Birthing Center ● Enlarge and modernize Cesarean Birth and Operating Rooms ● Renovate 6 Labor and Birthing rooms, including upgraded showers ● Create an enlarged and centralized Nursing Station ● Relocate OB Ultrasound services ● Enlarge Ante-Partum rooms with private bathrooms ● Relocate or co-locate Ante-Partum Testing ● Create dedicated Partner Gowning Room ● Create an OB Simulation Lab ● Upgrade or modify of all support systems necessary for the renovation: interior design, HVAC, electrical power distribution and connections, lighting, plumbing, fire suppression, fire alarm, gas and vacuum, security, data/IT, voice, and communications systems. ● Furniture, fixture and equipment (FFE) needs must be evaluated and coordinate for occupancy ● Primary area of renovation is 7-000 block (7th Floor) with coordination of services in 7- 100 and 7-200
