• Install construction signage. • Set up work zone traffic control as detailed in the plans where required. • Construction will be done in one season. • Remove the existing bridge superstructure and substructures. • Utility relocation will occur prior to the installation of piles for the new substructures. • Construct reinforced concrete cantilevered abutments and wingwalls on piles, and center pier on a spread footing. • Construct new two-span continuous steel girders totaling 204’-9" in length from centerline of bearings at the begin abutment to centerline of bearings at the end abutment. The structural steel is metalized ASTM A709 grade 50. • Construct a cast in place reinforced concrete superstructure slab with single slope concrete barrier, sidewalk on north side, pedestrian fencing, approach slabs, and sleeper slabs. • The new approach roadway is to be constructed on a new vertical alignment on the existing horizontal alignment. • Complete approach work. • Remove construction signage, grade, topsoil, and establish turf at locations shown on plans. • Remove all contractor equipment and clean-up on site.
