INSTALLATION A. General: Comply with manufacturer's written instructions. 1. Do not install damaged components. 2. Fit joints between aluminum components to produce hairline joints free of burrs and distortion. 3. Rigidly secure nonmovement joints. 4. Install anchors with separators and isolators to prevent metal corrosion, electrolytic deterioration, and immobilization of moving joints. 5. Seal joints watertight unless otherwise indicated. B. Install components in strict accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and approved shop drawings. Use proper fasteners and hardware for material attachments as specified. 1. Use methods of attachment to structure which include provisions for thermal movement. 2. Glazing shall be installed in accordance with panel and system manufacturer’s guidelines. 3. Remove all protective coverings on polycarbonate panels during or immediately after installation. 4. Installation shall be performed by a company with ten (10) years continuous experience in commercial construction. 5. Protect contact points between unprotected dissimilar metals (except stainless steel) using continuous separators of FRP, PVC tape (or approved equal) 6. Field or factory horizontal slitting of panel up-legs is not permitted.
