III. SCOPE OF SERVICES A. GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS 1. The Consultant shall provide close and ongoing coordination with NYCEDC, NYC Parks, any consultant employed by NYCEDC for the Project, and other entities as identified by the Project Team throughout the design and construction of the Project. 2. The Consultant shall establish, maintain and coordinate all contacts with Agencies, Utilities, community organizations and other Interested Parties as may be identified by the Project Team. 3. The Consultant shall fully coordinate the identification of all current and future planning, design and construction projects by the City such as water main projects, street lighting projects, fire and police communication projects, as well as projects of a significant nature by parties other than the City (private utilities, authorities, governmental and nongovernmental agencies and abutting property owners) and shall recommend programming alternatives and staging as required. 4. The design must comply with all Federal, State, and local laws, codes, rules, regulations, ordinances, guidelines and standards. 5. The design must comply with NYC Parks standards for design and contract documents. 6. Drawings and specifications shall not violate the Charter of the City of New York or any provisions of the Administrative Code. 7. The Consultant shall obtain and compile all pertinent specifications, standards and constraints mandated for the Project or the Services by any interested Agency. All plans and specifications prepared as part of the Services shall conform to the standards, specifications, codes and regulations of any interested Agencies. The Consultant shall immediately alert NYCEDC as to any problems thereof. 8. It shall be the Consultant's responsibility to secure all required data for informed planning and proper coordination of the Services. 9. The Consultant shall plan and design the work related to the Services with reference to and in conformity with information and data as to existing and legal lines and grades, subsurface structures and conditions and facilities, such as may be furnished by NYCEDC or obtained from Agencies, Utility companies and other sources, as well as such information as may be obtained through site inspection and surveys. 10. The Consultant shall coordinate the proposed program for the Project with the Project Team, Agencies, Utilities and all other parties as may be as required for the efficient completion of the Project, and shall identify and resolve all requirements, conditions and issues as presented by said parties. 11. The Consultant shall coordinate the programming and designs with adjacent properties and corresponding open spaces. 12. When, during the duration of the Project, it appears that modifications to the proposed staffing list are required for the successful completion of the Project, the Consultant shall immediately inform the Corporation in writing. In the case of staff substitutions, the Consultant shall submit the replacement staff member’s resume to the Corporation for approval prior to any staffing modifications. No staff or subconsultant changes can take place without the express written approval of the Corporation.
