a one-time purchase of 4,100 tons of beach sand for Canopus Lake Beach located in Fahnestock State Park to be delivered in March 2025. sand is to be composed of "Well Graded Sand" (fine, medium and coarse sands) as described in Attachment 2 Unified Soil Classification System, with at least 50% by weight of the coarse fraction of sand passing through a #4 sieve and with the medium and finer sands ranging down proportionately in sizes and passing through to a #100 sieve according to Attachment 3 Wentworth (1922) Grain Size and Classification Detailed Chart. Sand particle size per analysis is to be of no more than 0.1% gravel, 99-100% sand (50% being medium sand and at least 35% being fine & very fine sand), and less than 0.3% silt & clay.
