Specifications include, but are not limited to: Screened Aggregate - Screened gravel shall be Material Designation 703-0203 and shall consist of clean, durable aggregate free from coatings. Screened gravel may consist of all uncrushed particles and shall be obtained from sources conforming to the requirements of course aggregate. Crushed Aggregate - Shall be Material Designation 703-02 or 703-01 and shall consist of clean, durable aggregate free from coatings. ACCEPTANCE REQUIREMENTS - All aggregate bids must meet New York Standard Specifications for coarse aggregate 703-02. All materials bid must be from New York State Department of Transportation approved sources of aggregate. Aggregate must meet New York State Specifications for Physical Requirements, Deleterious Materials, and size. All materials must be in compliance with and adhere to New York Standard Specifications. Bidder must be listed on the current New York State Department of Transportation Materials Approved list for sources of fine and course aggregate/gravel. A copy of certificate or approval of material and inclusion on such list MUST accompany each bid. Any material delivered by bidder not meeting specifications will be rejected and returned at the bidder’s expense. Tests will be conducted on materials taken from the pit or quarry by the Allegany County Department of Public Works prior to pick up by the haulers when determined to be in the best interest of the County.
