Description

Background: Guilderland EMS invites bids to replace a 2012 Type III ambulance with a used Type I ambulance, aiming to reduce downtime and ensure patient and crew safety.

Specifications

PART 1 -: GENERAL

1. 1. Type I ambulance-style
  2. 2017 or newer
  3. Ford or Chevrolet Chassis
  4. Less than 85,000 miles on the vehicle
  5. Diesel or Gas
  6. Four-wheel drive preferred
  7. Automatic Transmission
  8. Exterior color must be a white base
  9. Box dimensions-
    - Length minimum 147’Modular, Width 96’, Height no more than 109’
    - Interior Box headroom 72”

J. Emergency lighting will be LED
§ All emergency lighting must be NYS-compliant for ambulances.

1. 1. Functional backup camera

1. 1. Power locks for front cab and modular.

1. 1. Inverter
  2. Patient compartment controls, with the control panel on both the right and left side of the patient.
  3. All lights and sirens must be functional.
  4. Center console for radios
  5. Exterior compartment for stair chair placement.
  6. Graphics will be provided to the seller; the seller will be responsible for applying the graphics that are provided. To be included in the sales price. S. Ability to access the patient from either side.

1. 1. The patient compartment floor must have a Stryker floor plate installed for Stryker Power Load or Stryker Performance Load.
  2. Install of current agency’s Power Load and stretcher

1. 1. Liquid Springs ride system preferred, not required

1. 1. Must be able to pass the NYS Department of Motor Vehicle Inspection.

Proposal Guidelines: Interested parties should submit proposals including the following:
- Company profile, including experience in emergency vehicle sales. Mechanical records for the vehicle. Detailed timeline and delivery date.
- Comprehensive cost breakdown covering materials, labor, installation of Power Load, and provided graphics.
- Willingness to consider trade-in of 2012 Type III Braun Ambulance at a reasonable value, pictures will be provided at request of vendor.
- References from similar projects, particularly within the emergency services sector.
- Certification of Non-Collusion must be attached to each bid.

Submission Instructions:

Proposals must be submitted in duplicate in sealed envelopes marked "Used Type I Ambulance” and sent to: Lynne Buchanan, Town Clerk, Guilderland Town Hall, PO Box 339, Guilderland, New York l2084.

Specifications and bid forms may be obtained at the Town Clerk's Office. Late submissions will not be considered. Any inquiries or requests for clarification should also be directed to BuchananL@togny.org

The Guilderland Town Board and /or Guilderland EMS reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Proposals will be received until May 3rd, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at which time they will be opened and read aloud at the Town Clerk's Office, Town Hall, Route 20, Guilderland, New York 12084.

Evaluation Criteria: Proposals will be evaluated based on:
- Cost-effectiveness and value
- Proposed timeline and project management
- Quality of materials and equipment
- Client references

Selection Process: Following the submission deadline, proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by a selection committee appointed by Guilderland EMS. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for interviews or presentations to further assess their suitability for the project. The Town of Guilderland EMS reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal.

Confidentiality: All information provided in response to this RFP shall be treated as confidential by Guilderland EMS and used solely for the purpose of evaluating proposals.
