Description

The Rochester City School District (hereinafter “RCSD” or “District”) is seeking Proposals,(RFP) from qualified legal firms to provide legal services for a variety of general civil, commercial, and special education litigation matters that may affect a school district. This may involve counseling, providing legal research, and comprehensive litigation services including but not limited to mediations, court appearances, trials, and appeals. Using this RFP, the District intends to engage a firm(s) that will be available to provide legal services as needed during the contract term. One or more individual/firms may be selected to provide services. If selected, a professional services agreement will be requested at agreed upon compensation rate. A copy of our standard contract will be included as an attachment. A flat rate fee arrangement for a defined piece of work will be given preference.

An Optional Pre-Proposal Conference meeting/call will be held on Tuesday April 30th, 2 -3pm (EST) via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. This meeting is to provide an opportunity for vendors to have their written questions answered, as well as an occasion for additional clarification of the Proposal. Please register by emailing timothy.schmandt@rcsdk12.org prior to noon on Monday April 29th. In this email, please include the Firm name, potential attendees with email addresses so that they can be added to the invite.

Proposal Due Date: Proposals must be received in the Purchasing Department no later than 2:30 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time), May 9th, 2024

Vendors must submit one (1) signed original Proposal response within a one-inch binder clearly marked
“Original” to the address below. Each proposal must contain a cover sheet with clear point-of-contact information. Additionally, a copy of the Proposal must be submitted on a thumb drive which shall contain only two (2) document files–File # 1 includes the Proposal, Appendices, and any attachments & File #2 contains the Budget/Cost Template.
